Hard boiled eggs with ham and cheese

We had extra ham from New Years so I made hard boiled eggs with ham and cheese today for dinner. I also found out some interesting things about eggs in a video.  Did you know that if you blow into the end of a boiled egg that the shell practically falls off?

Ingredients for Hard Boiled Eggs With Ham And Cheese Recipe

8 hard-boiled eggs, shelled and sliced
4 slices cooked ham, cut in thin strips
1 cup Swiss cheese, grated
1 tablespoon butter, melted
Seasonings to taste
3 cups thin white sauce

For white sauce:

1 pint milk
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons flour

Instructions


1. Scald 1 pint of milk.
2. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan.
3. Add salt and flour to the saucepan and let cook for one minute, stirring constantly.
4. Slowly add the milk, stirring gently until it boils.
5. Let it boil for 3 minutes. Use this mixture as your white sauce.
6. Mix the hard boiled eggs with the white sauce.
7. Add the ham and seasonings and mix well.
8. Place in a baking or pudding dish.
9. Sprinkle on top the grated cheese.
10. Pour the melted butter on the top.
11. Bake in moderate oven for about 10 minutes until a nice brown crust is formed.
