A recent book release has been sweeping the nation. The author of the book says that if you follow its philosophy, you can create the life you want—whether that means getting out of debt, finding a more fulfilling job or even falling in love. The book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne is a must read.

The idea for the book was first introduced to Byrne with the death of her father. She had a hard time dealing with it all until her daughter gave her the book The Science of Getting Rich, a book written in 1910 by Wallace D. Wattles. This was the book that gave Byrne her first glimpse of The Secret.

Since that initial discovery Byrne read hundreds of books, listened to hours of lectures and searched the internet for more hints toward The Secret. She successfully traced the idea of The Secret all the way back to 3500 B.C.

Byrne defines The Secret as the law of attraction, which is the principle that "like attracts like."
