He continues, "Can we have international peace without morality? Can we build homes without God, or have worthy parents who do not know and practice his teachings? He pointed out "that democracy was built on a firm faith in God. As our nation grew and prospered, as it overcame vicissitudes and adversity its people never lost faith in a personal God. Our generation it seems has allowed old faithful religious practices to slip into oblivion. As a result family life has been weakened and our nation has suffered."

If J. Edgar Hoover is right, and I believe he is, we must hasten to return to prayers, which can be heard by a merciful God, and, perhaps hearing our prayers, he will forgive our sins and stretch forth his mighty arm to stop our downward plunge into anarchy.
